Millie is currently a final year student working toward a Bsc Hons Textile Practice degree at The University of Huddersfield. She previously completed a placement year working as a Woven Design Assistant at Taylor and Lodge which benefitted her practice greatly.
As well as specialising in woven textiles, Millie's field of practice is also commercial which she feels very passionate towards. Her love for creating intricate designs and bringing a range of colours together helps her to create beautiful, woven collections. As a commercial designer, Millie is constantly aware of past, present and future trends and acknowledges these key themes when when creating her own, fresh trends. She also considers the end product at each stage of design and understands the customers expectations.
Moreover drawing is a big part of Millie's practice and through her gouache paintings, she expresses her own unique drawing style also showing how her colour pallets compliment one another.
